Everything Starts in the Vineyard
At NW Wine Company, we’re proud to be Oregon’s largest independent grape grower, with a legacy that dates back to 2003. Our approach is simple, yet profound: it’s all about the vineyard. We believe the true heart of exceptional wine begins in the soil, and our commitment to nurturing the land is at the core of everything we do.
As stewards of the land, our mission is to honor and preserve the biodiversity that surrounds us. The more life and vitality we cultivate in our vineyards, the better the wines we produce. From the moment we plant a vine, every decision is rooted in sustainability, balance, and respect for nature. We’ve learned that when the land is healthy and thriving, the vines can do what they do best — produce fruit that expresses the unique character of the Willamette Valley.
Owning and farming over 1000 acres across Oregon’s renowned Willamette Valley, we take great pride in our vineyards. Our farming practices are rooted in the LIVE standard (Low-Input Viticulture and Enology), with many of our vineyards transitioning toward biodynamic and organic certifications. These sustainable practices ensure that every bottle of wine we produce is a true reflection of the land, the climate, and the care we put into each and every vine.
At NW Wine Company, we don’t just grow grapes—we cultivate quality, craft, and a genuine connection to the land. Every vintage we produce is a testament to our commitment to the Willamette Valley, the vines, and the people who enjoy our wines shine.
Our Farming Philosophies
Whole-Farm, Systems-Based Approach
We are rooted in an agri-ecological, systems-based approach, where we focus on the health and balance of the entire vineyard ecosystem. We farm enhance biodiversity, promote soil vitality, and reduce environmental impact. This holistic method not only produces high-quality grapes but also ensures a sustainable future for both our vineyard and the surrounding environment.
Never Stop Learning
We believe in the power of continuous learning and innovation. We are always exploring new techniques, sustainable practices, and evolving technologies to improve both the quality of our wines and the health of our land. By staying curious and open-minded, we ensure that each season brings new insights and improvements, driving us toward a more sustainable and impactful future.
Work With the Vines Rather Than on the Vines.
We work to get out of the vines way. Give it what it needs at the right time and get out of the way. By fostering a natural relationship with each vine, we allow them to express their true potential and adapt to the environment in a balanced way. This hands-off approach lets the vines thrive with minimal intervention, resulting in wines that truly reflect the unique character of our terroir.
